Every single city and state has a unique style of cooking that will enamor any foodie nurse on assignment. Being a melting pot of different cultures, the South has a particular cuisine that has put it on the food map in recent years. With cities like New Orleans and Charleston giving Southern food its reputation, foodies from all over travel to these states to indulge traditional and inventive takes on soul and creole cuisine.

In this Southern edition of the top destinations for the foodie nurse, we’re exploring the places that are guaranteed to feed your soul during your next travel assignments

Georgia

In the past couple of years, Georgia has become a top foodie destination, and has certainly evolved from just fried chicken and barbecue. With Atlanta heading the scene, followed by the picturesque Savannah, a nursing travel assignment in the State of Georgia will never bore your palate.
