Professional Networking Site Dedicated to Healthcare Professionals
By now, everyone reading this is most likely familiar with LinkedIn. If not, LinkedIn is a social networking service for professionals, more commonly referred to as a professional networking service. LinkedIn provides users with the capability to display their career information and interests, connect and communicate with colleagues, and keep up with business related news. LinkedIn’s service is geared toward the vast and broad market of, well, everyone. This approach has worked well for them. They have over 200 million members worldwide and rake in nearly $1 billion in revenue annually.
While this general approach is performing phenomenally well for them and their investors, we believe LinkedIn is failing to provide healthcare professionals with a meaningful and valuable service. In short, the general approach to professional networking is not conducive to the specialized needs of healthcare professionals. With this in mind, we’ve been working hard over the past several months to create a professional networking service that will provide healthcare professionals with tools and services to make managing their careers more effective and efficient. The result is BluePipes.com.
To date, we’ve created what we view as the genesis of our commitment to providing healthcare professionals with a meaningful and valuable career resource. In addition to many common social networking features, BluePipes includes a profile builder that is specifically geared toward healthcare professionals, and over 100 comprehensive skills checklists that can be used to thoroughly self assess your skill-set within a given specialty. Moreover, your profile data can be rendered to PDF as a resume, or a full job application, and packaged with your saved skills checklists. Think of it like a cloud based career management system. Rest assured that your information is SECURE and we will never sell your data to anyone.
We released BluePipes Beta to a small group of healthcare professionals on March 1, 2013. They tested the current platform and their feedback was very positive. Their feedback also led us to make some adjustments to our profile builder such that we believe we now have the single best profile builder on the web for healthcare professionals.
As a result, we are launching BluePipes Beta to all healthcare professionals. We hope that you’ll enjoy the features currently available and we highly desire your feedback on how we can improve the current platform as well as your input on future features.
